Field Note Films is the business moniker used by filmmaker and performance artist Amanda Movlai.

Bio
Amanda Movlai was born in Binghamton, New York. Her body of work includes photography, film, video, sound-design, and performance. Her films have been screened at the Pacific Film Archive Alternative Requirements shows in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Amanda currently lives in Los Angeles and has begun a film collective called “project birds explode” with fellow experimental film makers.

Artist Statement
We used to bury things in the back yard and dig them up later pretending we had never seen them before. We buried a stuffed rabbit and some detective notes that led us to these cinematic vignettes--places we had never been. I return and re-shoot the same locations and archive the tone. Sit on a stranger’s porch all day until you meet someone. If it is fun I wouldn’t stay away from it.
